Tottenham's Savinho Saga May Finally Be Coming To An End

It's no secret that Tottenham have been chasing Savinho for a long time now. Over the course of last summer, last January and this summer, Spurs' pursuit of Manchester City winger Savinho has been well documented.
The Lilywhite Ledger understands that the pursuit may well be about to come to an end, with an agreement between Tottenham and Manchester City edging closer than ever before. A package of up to £70 million is expected to seal the deal - a fee Spurs have shown willingness to pay.
It has been suggested that the Cityzens have moved the goalposts on Savinho's price tag, with a fee of £60 million quoted at the start of the summer transfer window now deemed insufficient for their player's services.
Nonetheless, Roberto De Zerbi has internally insisted on signing the winger and would like him to join before Tottenham's opening Premier League game away to Brentford.

Rodrigo Zeitel, the player’s agent, is travelling from Brazil this weekend with the intention of completing his client’s switch to London.

Savinho has made his stance clear throughout the summer - he wants to join Tottenham.

It was reported he submitted a transfer request to Man City just a couple of weeks ago, and the Brazilian has been spotted on social media interacting with Tottenham’s squad members and even removing Manchester City from his Instagram bio.

Savinho has managed 2 goals and 12 assists in 53 Premier League appearances for City and would mark Spurs’ first attacking signing of the summer.

The Brazilian’s potential arrival is unlikely to be Tottenham’s last of the summer, with De Zerbi suggesting that Tottenham’s window was only “60% complete” at the end of July.
