Inter Milan are preparing their first bid, expected to be just over £25 million, for Tottenham’s Djed Spence, with the full-back keen on the move. Spence has been subject to interest across all of Europe following an impressive World Cup campaign.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Spence has already agreed personal terms with the Italian club, with both clubs poised to reach an agreement in the coming hours or days.

Roberto De Zerbi reportedly had the Englishman as part of his plans for the upcoming season, but didn’t rule out his potential departure.

At the end of July, whilst away on Tottenham’s pre-season tour, De Zerbi told the press, “I repeat what I said to Djed, and to Lucas [Bergvall],"

"I would like you to stay if you want to stay. If you don't want to stay, if you want to leave, then you have to leave."

Spence featured in 30 Premier League games for Spurs last season, starting 23. Naturally a right-back, the former Nottingham Forest man played as a right-back, left-back and even a winger on either side throughout the last campaign.

Should the deal materialise, it is likely Spurs will enter the market for another right-back, with World Cup winner Pedro Porro the only other senior player in that position.

Nottingham Forest’s Neco Williams is a player Spurs appreciate and someone that could fill the Spence void.
